“I am thrilled to be joining Middle Georgia Community Action Agency. I have long been impressed with their service to the people of the area,” said Ashford. “Through meeting members of the MGCAA during the interview process, I have seen their true passion for helping people out of poverty and into financial independence. I’m excited to use my education, experience, and God-given talents to support the MGCAA team in that mission.”

MGCAA was established in 1966 to improve the quality of life for individuals and families living in the central part of Georgia by addressing the causes and conditions of poverty through targeted programs and services. The agency’s service area covers nearly 20 percent of the state of Georgia.
