Rural Public Transportation
MGCAA/HOGCAC is the third party operator for six county governments: Bleckley, Dodge, Jones, Pulaski, Telfair and Twiggs. There are 14 total vehicles in the combined area. These vehicles provide fare-based transportation to residents of these counties and are available for use by other social service agencies as time and equipment allow (on contract basis).
Providing convenient transportation services has been the business of MGCAA/HOGCAC Rural Public Transportation for more than 25 years. Any resident who needs a ride from the rural areas of his or her county to the urbanized areas are eligible. We provide curb-to-curb transportation services. Clients must be able to enter and/or exit their destination without assistance from the driver, though the driver will assist passengers in loading and unloading the van (excluding packages).
MGCAA/HOGCAC Rural Public Transportation is available to all local residents. We offer affordable rates and friendly well-trained drivers. All drivers have been trained in passenger assistance and emergency procedures to insure that your transportation is safe, comfortable, and secure. Contact your local transit office to schedule your trip today!
ADA: Accessible formats of Transit materials are available upon request. Riders can make this request by using the Georgia Relay Service: 711.
Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) permit persons with a hearing or speech disability to use the telephone system via a text telephone (TTY) or other device to call persons with or without such disabilities.
To make using TRS as simple as possible, dial 711 to be automatically connected to a TRS communications assistant. Dialing 711 allows both voice and TTY-based TRS users to initiate a call from any telephone, anywhere in the United States, without having to remember and dial a ten-digit access number.
Georgia Relay can be used for contacting any of the referenced County Transits for any purpose, including booking, eligibility, or customer comments.
